Split Stay Help

We are doing a split stay in November, staying at the Poly first then SSR. How do split stays work with linking tickets? Am I correct in thinking that you get two sets of Magic Bands because of the two reservations? So how does that work with linking tickets and making Fastpass+ reservations?

You just enter both of you reservation numbers and MDE should link them to your tickets and allow you to book fastpasses. You will get to customize two sets of bands. Only drawback is you might not be able to book all your fastpasses at once - you'll have to wait until 60 days before your second reservation to book those fastpasses.

I'm fine with the fast pass thing. So I don't have to do anything different for the different bands, they should just be linked and work once I get the tickets?

There have been issues if your first resort doesn't correctly check you out, it can cause problems when you try to check in at the second resort. When doing a split stay I physically go and check out at the front desk and don't use express check out..

I have had the problem with not checking out at the front desk at one resort affecting check in at the 2nd, definitely make sure you do that as it will save you some time.
