split stay - fridge items moving with us?

Ok, think i saw this topic somewhere before but can't find it now...sorry if this is redundent. We are switching rooms at OKW due to people in our party leaving and later to BCV for the last 2 nights of our stay. I know i've read that you can have fridge items stored and moved with you but how does that work? do you have to have a cooler or can you just put them in a bag and they are refrigerated right away? what about freezer items? we must have to label our names on everything ahead of time? any info would help..thanks! does anyone know if there is any chance if we request to stay in the same room at OKW for the second part of our stay if they would/could do that? thanks for the info!!

we do this several times when we move from resort to resort. If you are having the resort transfer your luggage you just tell the bell service cm when he comes you have refrig. & freezer items. we usually have a soft sided cooler big enough to transfer our items, one time during christmas i had bought the sams club cooler bag while we were shopping for our christmas dinner. It was hugh and cheap and it held quite a bit of food. the bell service came he tagged our cooler bag like they tag your luggage. we also had one of those 5 gallon ice cream plastic container with a handle, no problem, he tagged the ice cream container with a luggage tag. He told us all cold freezer items go right in the cooler until they transport our luggage and again when it arrives at the next resort until we call for our luggage. He also said, when you call for your luggage at the next resort remind them you have cold items too.

We have done this several times too. We called bell services to transfer our luggage and when they came up we just told them which bags had food and needed to refridgerated. We just had them bagged in grocery plastic bags. When we checked into our new resort and called bell services to bring up our bags and remineded them we had food items too. Everything was brought up and our food was kept cold and frozen.

We have also gone grocery shopping and had the valet place our food items in their refridgerater/freezer while we went to the parks etc.. and just had them bring them up when we got back to our room hours later. Again everything was nice and cold and we didn't have to schlep it all up to the room.

Bell Services is great about moving your food. We had ours in paper bags. The beer and water were refrigerated, and arrived safe and sound. LOL
