We will be staying at one resort from May 17-23 and then another from May 23rd to 27th. There will be four of us on the MYW Plus dinning plan.

Will we have 24 or 28 credits to use by the 23rd before we switch resorts?

We currently have reservations at the following -

18th - Be our guest - 4 credits
19th - 50's Primetime - 4 credits
21st - Royal table - 8 credits
22nd - Hollywood and Vine - 4 credits
23rd - Backyard BBQ - 8 credits

Is this going to work out or do we need to move one to the second resort?

Thanks for your help!

Credits are valid from when you check in until midnight on your departure day. (So even once you switch resorts you could still use those credits on the 23rd)

Credits are calculated based per night of your stay. For DDP, every person gets 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per NIGHT of your stay.

I calculate 6 nights for the first part so that would be 24 credits for 4 people

Do you also have DDP on the second part of your stay?

I don't see it working out. I count 24 credits too. So if necessary pay for the least expensive meal OOP?

MYW Plus is Disney's term for the regular plan (1 TS, 1 CS, 1 snack per night). If that's the case and you are staying 6 nights on the first stay, you have 6 TS, 6 CS and 6 snacks per person per night. 24 of each type of credit in all.

You're spending 28 TS credits, so you will not have enough TS credits.

Credit allotments are always based on the number of nights you are registered at the resort, not the number of days.

Yes, we do have the DDP the second part of our stay. Since we check in the new resort on the 23rd, can we use 4 of them to conver the credits used from the 17-27th?

I should of put that in my original email.

You're doing Backyard Barbecue on the 23rd. At that time you will have used 20 TS credits on your account and have 4 remaining (1 TS credit per person).

You cannot combine credits across 2 different reservations to pay for one 2-credit meal. So you can't use 1 credit from the first stay and 1 credit from the second stay for each person. What you could do is use the credits from Stay #1 to buy the meal for 2 members of your party, and pay for the meals for the other 2 party members using credits from Stay #2. You will have to use two KTTW cards - one from each stay - to pay for the meal. This may mean you need to pick up your dinner show tickets AFTER you have checked into the second resort and received the key cards for it.

Remember that if you have 3 adults and 1 child (could also apply if you have 1 adult and 3 children) you'll have 3 adult TS credits and 1 child TS credit. That will mean you wouldn't have enough child credits on Stay 1 to cover the meal for the child, you would only have enough adult credits on that stay to cover 1 adult, and you'd have to pay for two adults and one child using only credits from the second stay. That would end up giving you an extra adult and an extra child credit on the first stay. And the credits from Stay 1 will expire at midnight on the 23rd and can't be carried over to the 24th.

I was just going to say this, but you said it better than I could.:rotfl: I found this out the hard way a couple of years ago. I did a split stay at CSR and YC, using the DxDDP for both. I was solo and using an AP discount, so had two ticketless pkgs. The day I switched over to the Yacht Club I had an ADR for Yachtsman. Knowing those credits from the first stay were good until midnight that night, I intended to my last credit from my CSR stay, along with one from the new YC ressie. The waiter told me I could not combine credits across two different reservations, as their system would not combine one from one stay and one from the second stay. He even got a manager to try to do it and couldn't. I had to use two credits from the second stay and since it was too late at night I was unable to use the remaining credit before midnight from the first ressie, so just lost it.
