Just returned from a split stay. Lake View studio at BLT, then one bedroom standard view at Kidani. Our studio at BLT was not ready until 4:30, but was expecting that. I think it was a refurbished room, as the curtains seemed different and maybe the carpet. It was a bit bigger than the theme park view studios I've stayed in. And it was immaculate! I always do the bed bug check, fridge check and the toilet seat and tub check. All was very clean. Fencing was up at the little beach behind the pool. No problems with magic band and getting in to the room.
Our one-bedroom at Kidani was ready at 1:30....a great surprise. It, too, was immaculate and passed my usual inspections. We did have issues with the magic bands later in our week, as we had linked reservations and the system wanted to have housekeeping come in and turned off our bands. Got a little frustrated after my third trip to the front desk.
The bus service from Kidani was excellent. The only issues were directly after late night shows at AK, MK, HS and Epcot. But we usually got on the second bus. So many people leaving the park at once. We left the MK 5 minutes before the fireworks one night (we already watched from top of the world earlier in the week) and got a really nice show while waiting at the AKL bus stop! Can't see the castle, but could see all the stuff in the sky.
Yes, it was very hot and very crowded (attendance is down?????). I have to say that most CM's were pleasant and helpful. However, there were many people there that were downright rude and nasty, loud and pushy with the "entitlement" attitude. I felt sorry for the CM's having to deal with these rude people.
Had really great meals at Narcosse's, Be our Guest, Italy. Cosmic Ray's counter service was good too...pulled pork!
The CM's at both resorts were all friendly and helpful. A great trip over all.
