Thinking pretty far ahead to my next March trip with my bf.

I think we’d really enjoy Riverside, but I’d also like to give FQ a shot. Just to see how both PO resorts work for us.

Do you think a split stay would make sense for a 6-7 night trip? Or since the resorts are so close, would it be silly to switch?

I"m a big fan of split stays for trying new resorts, but I'm not sure if personally I would split with only 6-7 nights, but if you want to try it I would do at least 3/4. I don't think it's silly at all! They are totally different resorts. I've considered a YC/BC split and you don't really get any closer than that lol.

We've done two split stays of 7 nights and we thought it was great. Our last trip, we did three nights at the Contemporary and four at Beach Club. I personally would not do a split between POR and POFQ, since they are so close and you can explore both and use the pools at both; but if that's what you want to do, I say go for it!

I wouldn't do it. Why go through that hassle when you can just walk over to POFQ and eat there, swim there, catch bus there and see if you like it. Inside the rooms will be like layouts just different linens.

While I do split stays for just about every trip, I wouldn't switch between those two. They are so close together and, I think, you can share the pool at both so other than seeing the inside of a room there really isn't a reason to split it. When I stayed at POR I would walk every morning and the walk over to POFQ is pretty short and easy. Just walk over and explore.

My personal pref is not to do split stays under 10 day stay. Just unpack and enjoy your stay as mentioned both resorts are so close together, a 15 min walk along the river path. And because they’re sister resorts they share amenities. Feel free to spend the day at pofq.

We did that back in '05 or '06 and it was interesting. We split it up into 3 nights at POFQ and 4 nights at POR. Just a different perspective on one huge resort. The POs are my favorite resorts so it made total sense to me when I booked the trip.

If you really want to compare the 2, then yes do a split stay. Visiting a resort is not the same as staying there, waking up, going to the FC from your room etc. It's a totally different experience staying there then just visiting.
