split stay at two dvc resorts

Hi. For our next trip (May 07) we are thinking about spending a week at WLV and a week at BCV. This would be our first split stay and I am just wondering if I will need to move my luggage myself from WLV to BCV or if Disney has a more convenient option?

We have done split stays for the last two years. This past year we went from a one bedroom at SSR to a 2 bedroom at SSR to a 2 bedroom at BCV. The prior year we went from Allstar to VWL to AKL. Disney will move your luggage for free from one Disney resort to another. You just call down to Bell services the night before and leave your luggage in the room. They will pick it up before you leave in the morning. They will deliver it to your new resort sometime after 3:00 (that is what they tell you but our luggage actually was at the new resort by noon). Once you check in you just call Bell service to see if it has arrived and just have them bring it up to your room.

We are doing something similar this trip. when bell sevices delivers your bags do you tip each time? what about when they pick them up? did you use magical express? do you tip when bags are delivered to your room then also? if you call to see if your luggage has arrived when you get your new room can you just go get it yourself from bell services. thanks for the info..i am so clueless when it comes to where, when and how much to tip!

We usually tip each time the bags are picked up or delivered. $1 a bag is customary with the exception of any shoppoing bags or backpacks etc...DH just figures on size and prorates for quantity. For example, we had a total of 11 bags of different sizes and types on our last move. Tip was $8.

We tip when they pick up the bags and when they deliver them. We have never used ME since we drive each year. I am not sure if you can get your luggage yourself. We usually tip about $1 per bag.
