Split stay and the new grocery delivery charge

Has anyone had a split stay since the new grocery delivery charge started? Previously we had no problems with split stays and always had a small bag of cold items that were refrigerated during the move. If I do that again would I risk being charged an extra fee for all the groceries not just the suitcases when they’re delivered to the room? Does anyone know if bell services checks whether it is a new order or a split stay move?

Disney put in a charge that started in April of this year, where they charge $6 per bag or parcel that is delivered through the front desk.

I don't know that much about it, since I haven't stayed at Disney World since then. However, I have heard that this only applies if it is delivered to the Front Desk and then you request them to deliver it to your room. Supposedly, if you have it delivered to Bell Services and pick it up yourself, there is no charge. But I don't know how that would work.
