Split stay and making FP

We have a split stay - arrival night at one resort and the remainder of our trip at another. Can I make FP for our entire trip 60 days from check in at the first resort. If it matters the tickets are tied to the arrival night.

Yes, the FP booking window remains open from onsite stay > onsite stay. You'll be able to book through check-out day of stay #2.

Do the two reservations have to be linked somehow? We had 5 nights booked at a special rate and our MVMCP tickets are linked to that reservation. We ended up booking one night before those nights at a different rate since we couldn't add on so we'll be in a different category and room. Our children will be with us that night and flying home the next day. I plan to buy five day tickets and I'd like to link them to the one day reservation so that I can book our fast passes one day earlier. Can I do that? I've gone to Disney many times but this is my first time with MDE and fastpass+ and I'm finding it all a little overwhelming and the planning not as fun as it used to be!

If both onsite reservations are linked to your MDE account, the booking window automatically opens up for your complete stay. You don't need to do anything else.

And yes, link your tickets to your 1st reservation.

Thank you! Now I just have to figure out how to link them both. The one day was through Expedia and the five day through Disney. Luckily, our trip is in December so I have a little time to figure this out! Of course, everyone on the Boards is very helpful - both those asking the questions that I realize I need answers to and those answering!

Go to the My Reservations area of MDE and link the reservation there. If it doesn't link, you may have to contact Expedia for additional info.

Love this thread. Exactly the question in my mind... So just to be clear:

I booked a package for 6 nights at BC with tickets and dining plan. Then I decided to add one night room-only at POR at the beginning of the trip. Since I did it all through the website does that mean that even though the first night is room-only I can make fastpasses starting from the POR date? On MDE it just shows the tickets in its own section, not "linked" to the BC stay only.

Disney recently began allowing the FP window to open with the 1st onsite stay regardless of which stay had the package.

Plan on booking 60 days out from your POR stay.

Thanks for the help. :)
