Split Stay Affect on 90+10?

I've talked w/ 3 CMs this morning & guest services -- no one is allowing a 90+10 on a split stay.

I made my split stay ADRs a couple of weeks ago for my July 18th split stay. On Friday 5/15/09, I called and made my split stay ADRs (AKV 5/13-16 and then BCV 5/16-21) and didn't have any problems. I don't know if it's because I have DVC reservations vs regular reservations. I've seen folks say they can't but I've done it twice this month for my July trip and my August trip and have not had a problem either time. I was glad to be able to do my ADRs for my split stay since it goes into free dining and we're not doing free dining, but are traveling with a party of 9. I had no problem getting any of my ADRs, though they are not hard places to get. I did get one for Aug. 21 for LeCellier for a party of 6 for lunch with no problem.

Bad news, CM's have been instructed to NOT book 90+10 on split stays. It seems as though some guests have made 1 day reservations at the start of their stay so they can get in on the 90+10 ahead of other guests for free dine. I am not saying any of you have done this but you won't be allowed to book, especially tomorrow!!!

I can't believe that people would actually pay for an additional night just to get a jump on a reservation.

I actually do have a split and I did book and pay for 1 extra night at POP but it was because of lower airfair. Flying in and out on Saturdays for $158 round trip vs flying in and out on Sundays for $272 round trip more than paid for the $84 + tax room at POP plus it gave us a day to hang at the pool and rest up for the real trip. Either way, my CM let me book my whole trip and I am very happy!

It appears that this is a system glitch related to the dining plan. We called at 7 am this morning and we were able to book our ADRs for our whole trip despite a split stay. We are using DVC points and have not signed up for DxDDP (yet). It appears that those who have had trouble are on the DDP for all or part of their stay.

Why do you care why we made an additional ressie for? You have your reason and I have mine.

I am so sorry that I don't have it, I was so excited that she answered on the 1st ring, I didn't catch her name. I wish I would have because after we hung up I would have liked to have gotten on the website and given her extra kudo's from the survey.

When I called, I didn't mention my different reservation set up, I just gave her my room only reservation #. She said now this is for 1 night, and I then explained that I have another reservation for the 16th-22nd, she said that as long as we don't have any reservations like CRT that needs to be paid for in advance with a credit card then she can book them all on this reservation, it just won't be tagged as "on the disney dining plan". I ask her what the benefit was of that and she said that I would just have to make sure that we tell them when we get there that we are paying with the dining plan instead of them seeing it already..........I thought to myself....that is actually better for us since we only have 6 dining TS meals and I have booked 10 and will be paying for 4 oop.

I would definitely keep trying.

I know it is very frustrating to hear some of us that could do it and some that can't. It makes no sense at all. Good Luck and I hope you get everything that you want!

Its ok, I just took out my frustration over not being able to make my ADRs out on you, so its me who should apologize. So, I'm sorry. I booked an additional day because I don't like to lose a day on my tix. So, I always add a day only ressie, that way, the next morning when my package begins we get to be there ALL day. But I was very frustrated that I see others are able to make their ADRs even though they have booked almost exactly as I did, and I wasn't able to book anything other than the 16th, so I guess I'll have to call again in the morning to see if I can get the rest.

I had trouble linking mine as well!

I'm also having issues with getting straight thru to Disney Dining for our ADRs. I keep getting connected to the CMs for V & A's or those making ressies for the next 7 days. I don't know what I keep doing wrong.

I just called back to just book Tony's on the 16th & she (Janice-- my new hero!) simply asked for my next choice after booking Tony's & I was able to finish all my ADRs -- even got Cindy's at 8:20

We are DVC and not doing the DDP and we are moving on the 16th and had no problem doing our ADRs for split stay through August 21.
