Split Stay Affect on 90+10?

I have the same situation, except I am arriving on 8/14/09. I am going to try on Saturday to make my ressies. I hope I can!!!

Ok...I called and got through at about 7:30. Had no problem and was able to make all my ADRs. I just said I arrive on Aug 14th for 10 days, I didn't even mention the split stay. She took the confirmation # from my room only ressie and started making the ADRs with no problem. My last day is actually Aug 24 which I think is 11 days out...not sure...and that worked too. The only one I had trouble with was Le Cellier for Aug 17...had to take 4:45, but I will try later for something better.

Is there a separate number for Guest Services?

I see you already got the info -- have not been on the boards since yesterday morning. You can also just ask to be transferred to Guest Services. Did you get your ressies?

One more question, what is the number you called for guest services? TIA

Congratulations That's great news. There's obviously something going on with this new system that is just not consistent. I didn't mention my split stay either but they just know by the reservation number when you are checking out. My friend was on the phone at the same time as me trying to make some other ressies for our trip and the CM she was speaking to also would not let her go past the end of the first stay. So you must have been lucky with the CM you got. Glad it all went well

My ADRs time is not for a few more days, but I wanted to make sure I was ready to call another number in case they tell me that I cannot continue with my reservation since I have a split stay too.

Also - I just completed my split stay ressies today- I have from 8/7-8/24 booked now. I had only had the one problem and I called later that day and didn't have a problem. Occasionally I was told sorry your too early, but once I said I'm arriving on the seventh or can you please just try they didn't have a problem.

Am I understanding you right that you were first able to book 90+10 then you called back daily to add the rest of your trip day by day?

I hope this is the case for me we have 14nights of ADR's to book.

I know, I called at 7:30a.m and there was nothing left!! I am wondering if they hold back some reservations and release some everyday? I hope so, that would be totally unfair for those booking starting on Monday! I am going to keep trying! Good Luck!

Bad news, CM's have been instructed to NOT book 90+10 on split stays. It seems as though some guests have made 1 day reservations at the start of their stay so they can get in on the 90+10 ahead of other guests for free dine. I am not saying any of you have done this but you won't be allowed to book, especially tomorrow!!!

that seems so strange that they wouldn't do it .I don't see what it matters to Disney,they are still getting their money.Guess we will see what everyone says when they try tomorrow.I would say everyone should try anyway.Can't hurt to try.Good luck you guys!!

I'm having the same problem .

I wish I have made them for my entire stay, but they let me make an ADR for my room only ressie, I guess I'll just try again tomorrow.

Same thing here - no go. Cant believe I got up at 5:30 on a Sunday morning and have to do it again tomorrow!

And just for the record - I did make an additional nights reservation to avoid the free dining booking that starts tomorrow. I am on a DVC reservation that I made almost a year ago - and couldnt change the dates once Free Dining was announced (believe me - I tried!)

I guess I will try with member services when they open!

I can live with this, so long as everyone has to follow the same rules.

Well now I just talked w/ a supervisor.............tis a 'system issue' why 90+10 can't be booked. Yeah right

I'll be emailing customer service about Davontay..........(not the supervisor-- supervisor was very nice about telling us it was a 'system issue'

haven't you ever heard rules are made to be broken?

it makes no sense -- a dumb rule -- we are not staying free dining -- if they want to make that rule for free dining fine -- still a dumb rule though.

I have the same split. Checking in 8/15 with a 1 day room only then my dining plan reservation 8/16-8/22.

I called straight up at 6am cst and got right through with 1 ring and made all my reservations for the entire trip.

When I called, I didn't mention my different reservation set up, I just gave her my room only reservation #. She said now this is for 1 night, and I then explained that I have another reservation for the 16th-22nd, she said that as long as we don't have any reservations like CRT that needs to be paid for in advance with a credit card then she can book them all on this reservation, it just won't be tagged as "on the disney dining plan". I ask her what the benefit was of that and she said that I would just have to make sure that we tell them when we get there that we are paying with the dining plan instead of them seeing it already..........I thought to myself....that is actually better for us since we only have 6 dining TS meals and I have booked 10 and will be paying for 4 oop.

I would definitely keep trying. I got everything we wanted for exactly the time we wanted (give or take 5 minutes) except Boma for dinner on the 16th---we wanted 6:45 or later and she said that the latest that they had on that day was 6:30 but close enough. I was soooo excited
