Split Stay - ADR trouble

I have a split stay scheduled for September, only bc I couldn't get 4 nights in a row at any DVC studio that week. So our arrival night is at old key west and the rest of our stay is at the Poly.

On my 180 day mark for ADRs, I was only able to make them for one day 180 days out...and not for the duration of our stay until 180 days out from our Poly check in. Why did this happen? I don't care too much about the ADRs bc we're only doing 2 TS meals and one BoG lunch, but I am nervous about our fast pass plus reservations when we are 2 months out. Any ideas?

It happened because you can only make ADR's 180 days + length of stay up to 10 days. Disney doesn't recognize split stays - they see two different reservations, so two different ADR 180+length of stay dates.

The 180-day mark for dining is tied to your resort reservation and the system doesn't "recognize" split stays. You have to wait until the second 180-day mark to make dining reservations during your second resort reservation (luckily for you, that's only one day later).

This post covers Fastpasses with split stays.

Thanks! Since fast passes are linked to tickets, this shouldn't happen come July, right??

I didn't realize it was 180+length of stay. I thought it was just 180+10. Oh well, no biggie. I mostly got what I wanted and usually have better luck making ADRs the week before :-) thanks again!

Most people say 180+10 because 190 days is the max any reservation can be made, regardless of length of stay, which is also dependent on being in the hotels for at least that long.

I have got over the problem by calling DVC member services and asking them to book dining ADRs.

Disney doesn't recognize "split stays" It is an internet term. To Disney you have 2 independent reservations. You were able to book 180 + Length of Stay up to 10, as your Length of Stay for that reservation was 1 night.
You won't have any trouble with FP+ at 60 days as long as you have active tickets linked to your MDE account. Tickets are viewed independently as well.
