Split stay.... 1st night somewhere then the next 3 at Pop....questions

I got a great deal from a TA that people on here use. However they could only book the last 3 nights of our trip at Pop but the first night was not available at pop. The TA said to just book a 1 night on Disney site and then do the last 3 night with them. We have never done a split stay before. Is it hard to do? We are flying in so we will not have a car. Should we just get a room anywhere on site for night 1 and go with the rest of the vacation at Pop with the TA? Any advice would be appreciated.

Honestly with such a short a trip I would select a different hotel that can take you all 4 nights. But, if you still want to do it that way it is not a huge issue we have done a split stay a few times for longer trips but we don’t use DME so don’t know how that works and we rented a car as we do some other area attractions so moved luggage ourselves but I believe you can arrange for bell services to handle that. Also, when booking ADRs you would only be able to do for arrival day at 180 days and then book the next day for the rest of the trip as it is considered as 2 reservations.
