split resort stay - can I split Dining Plan

Anyone know if you split your hotel stay if you can split the dining plan?
Staying the first two nights at a hotel and then moving to OKW on our points. If possible I'd like to not have the first two days on the plan so then we could do non-disney things (gasp!) and not worry about where we eat.

It's not really splitting but you can purchase the DDP for only your DVC stay. You have two seperate reservations.

In fact, at the first hotel you can't even get the DDP unless you are purchasing it as part of a package including tickets.
