Split Reservations - Longshot

Hey all, I have frequently had to have multiple reservations for our larger groups ( even suggested by actual ADR cast members ). And then I go to the restaurant earlier in the day and tell them that or reservations are together. The earlier the better, so the host/hostess can arrange for our tables to be together. ADR cast members have even booked reservations 5-10 minutes apart in this manner and I've never had any problems ( Well, there was that ONE time at Rainforest Cafe, but that was a one-off ).

NOW, I have two reservations for our group of 12 ( 6 and 6 )... but the problem is... they are 45 MINUTES apart...

Now granted, we're not going for over a month yet. So I keep plugging away at it in case I can get them closer together.

But has anyone had any luck with maybe going to the restaurant podium right at opening, and asking them if these could be ... "scooched" together? With enough notice maybe? ... I know it's a longshot ( hence the thread title )...

Having not been to WDW yet, I don't know for suer but I would think if you check in early they would try to make it work like they do at Disneyland. Worth a shot

For posterity, I did ask my son who used to be a cast member at Le Cellier with his GF. Granted, they were both servers and not hosts, so may or may not know all the ins and out.
But what he said is that they should be able to make it work and what will *likely* happen is they'll move the 12:30 closer to the 1:25 reservation ( move the earlier to later ) and allow early arrivals to check in to accommodate us.

My only fear is that this is for Space 220... the fact that it's SO popular, could be a wrench in the works. But I'll try!

We were at WDW last week with a party of 11. We had 2 ADR's for Chef Mickey's and Ohana. The Chef Mickey's was breakfast at 8:55 and 9:15 AM ADR's, and Ohana was dinner at 6:05 and 6:50 PM ADR's. Each time, we went up to the podium about 20 minutes before the first reservation, and they were able to accommodate our party at the same time. We were split into 2 tables of 6 and 5, but they were right next to each other, and we could talk to each other comfortably.

Good to hear! Thanks!
