Split reservations and tickets

I have a 1 day reservation for Nov 8 with a 1 day ticket. Then Nov 9-15 I have another day reservation which also has dining plan. We got 2 sets of magic bands. I don't know which was for the 1 day and which for the 7 day. How will it work with one reservation (the one day) not having dining and the other (seven day) having dining. I'm confused. Also not sure how I go about changing rooms since checkout for first room is 11 but check in for 2nd room is 3. We are staying at BC for both but the rooms are different. Do I have to use the MB for the first day on the first?? Also anyone know how it works switching rooms. ???

Thanks for the information. I've been to WDW many times but this is my first split stay and I'm a little confused.
