I'm driving myself & CRO crazy, so please give me your advice. My first 3 nights are set in stone: WL with my sister, neice, & DD (13) 12/16-19. It's 12/19-23 that I keep changing back & forth between our favs: BC & POR. The AP price difference is $469 - that's some serious fun $$$ for my DD & me, but we LOVE the Epcot area. Should I just split our last 4 nights : 2 at each? ( Believe it or not - both are still available with AP rates!) I'll still save $268 that way & get to spend a couple of days in the Epcot area. We split stays all the time & have done 2 nts. each at resorts before, but it's such a busy time of the year that I'm worried I'll be in the check in line too long both times & waste precious time. Opinions?

i definitely would not waste my time switching resorts... pick one and promise yourself you'll stay at the other the next time (there's ALWAYS a next time! LOL!)

ENJOY!

If it were me and it was available, I'd stay at WL the whole time. Once I get settled in somewhere, I like to stay there. If you do want to switch, I'd only do it one more time and would go to POR. $468 is a nice chunk of change that could be spent doing lots of fun stuff (or to put towards another trip :-) ).

I would enjoy your first 3 nights at WL and enjoy the Epcot area your last 4 nights at BC. I do NOT recommend doing 3 resorts in one trip unless you're staying 12 or more days!
Have a wonderful time...We'll be at AKL during that same period. CAN'T WAIT!:bounce:

This would be my advice exactly. If I tried to do three resorts in 7 days, I'd probably end up going to the wrong resort at some point!

Don't do 3 resorts in one week. I'd do WL then BC if I can afford. I love the Epcot area too. You might look into the Swan/Dolphin if you can't afford BC. They have an allears and Dis rate of $129-$149 during that time. Since you are going during such a busy time, you will love the convenience of staying so close to Epcot and MGM. I think if you went from WL to POR you might feel a little let down.

I like POR better than Wilderness Lodge(weird I know). So I don't know that you would be let down that much. I wouldn't split 2 and 2 to much time. I would stay at POR and save the money for your next trip and stay at one of the Epcot resorts the whole time on your next stay. Good Luck!!

The convenience of being able to walk to both MGM and Epcot - especially at such a very busy time of year cannot be underestimated. You are paying extra for a reason - ::yes::

Because I have been reading these boards for a while now, I have decided to split our family's next stay between the CR and the YC. Spend the first four nights at CR. Hitting MK. AK, and hoop de doo. Then heading to Epcot on Wed morning for EE, and checking into YC that afternoon. Hope it works out. My dw is not totally sold on the idea. I told her to read these forums, but alas she has not caught the spirit like me and my two dd.(12 and 8).

I would either stay the entire time at WL, you just can't beat it at Christmas.

Or go with BC for the second stay. I would not change more than once.

Enjoy your stay, you are going at such a wonderful time.

I think you will really like the split stay you have planned, kirbsam. We did our first split last January and DH was not sure either. Well, we did PR and BWV and he loved it! :p
As far as the OP's dilemma, I totally agree with swilphil in that a really good alternative would be the Swan/Dolphin. Three nights WL then four nights S/D which is still Deluxe and in the EPCOT area. Just MHO...
