Split MK into two days: which lands to group?

Hi, I am starting to try to get some ideas for MK itineraries, even though my trip is very far off. I'll be looking to make ADRs in August, but have so many things coming up this summer I like to get organized!

I want to spend one full day in MK. I think we'll try to get there for RD, perhaps take a mid day break, and return for closing, likely at 9 pm that day (based on historical times).
I will dedicate the part of a second day to MK also, likely a late start (possibly even after lunch) with the plan to stay late into the night. It will likely be an 11 pm or 1 am closing time, so we want to see a MK night!

How would you recommend splitting MK with one full day and a large part of a second day? What "lands" are best to group together on day one and what is good to hold until day 2? We are 3 adults and an excited 5 y.o. who is not afraid of any type of ride. We'll go at a moderate pace, but by no means move fast or strict about our itinerary.

Thanks all!

I would say pair Fantasyland with Tomorrowland for the full day and then Frontierland and Adventureland for the late day/ evening. You could throw Liberty Square into either day.
I think that Big Thunder, Splash and Jungle Cruise are so much better at night. You can get a lot of Fantasy land done with RD and FP+.

:thumbsup2 I totally agree with your plan, too. Fantasyland takes us over 1/2 of a day just viewing theming and attractions there. I think your 5 yr old will really enjoy that area and the adults will appreciate the details! My family only did MK in one long day last summer. My kids want to spend multiple days there next spring... with most of the time being in Fantasyland & Tomorrowland. :earsboy:
