Splash Mountain is unavailable for fastpass booking Jan 8th and on, so I guess the second closure/refurb is confirmed. :sad2:

I was going say that Jan 8 is 61 days from now, but if you have a WDW stay starting before Jan 8 and aren't able to get a FP+ for Splash starting on Jan 8 you could be right.

I booked my fastpasses this morning for my 60 day window. It is unavailable for booking after Jan 7th.

My guess is that they are continuing the work that couldn't be completely finished when it was down last summer. I assume some stopgap was implemented to allow it to be open for the holiday season.

As I mentioned in an earlier thread that speculated it would be down again early in 2018, if it's still down when I have my trip I'll need to be going to my "laughin' place" with a bottle...

EDIT: Early reports say this it'll be down from Jan 8 to Feb 1 2018.

Splash is now listed as unavailable. I didn’t book splash after the 8th but just checked for the 9th.
You probably would have received the “Anytime FP” that would include the Pandora rides!

I hope someone can Confirm the FP substitution. :)

Aw shoot! My DS7 is going to be very disappointed that his favorite MK ride is closed (starting the first day of our stay no less!).

Thanks for the heads up! We are going the 3-8 and the 8th was supposed to be our MK day. I haven't got tickets yet (we are buying the military promotion ones and our base hasn't received them yet.) I might need to figure out another strategy...

I had to switch park days and ADR's *ugh* around in order to be able to ride it on January 7th.

Unfortunately not... I was planning on stockpiling anytimes since there had been a rumor of it being down in Jan (hopefully OK to admit that...), so I booked a lot of Splash FPs for my mid-January trip. They all converted into BTMRR FPs. No anytimes. =(

EDIT - Actually, they converted to BTMRR on the website. In the MDE app, they are still listed as Splash FPs. Come on anytimes! Interestingly, it gives me an error when I click on the Splash FP within the MDE app. Screenshots added.

Thanks, anomamatt!

Now, we need someone who had a BTMRR and Splash booked to check their Splash conversion - @rteetz, we forgot to put you in research-mode... this is TPAS! ;)

Jan/Feb seem to be the general maintenance refurb for it nearly every year so I'm not at all surprised.
It will give them more time to complete what they probably didn't get to.
It was closed for refurb on my last trip and I was almost hoping it would be for my next trip mid February more so because then I wouldn't have to worry about bringing ponchos into the park unless there's a high chance of rain which mid February doesn't seem to have.

This isn’t typical though. Splash has been closed for 3.5 months already and then to close for another month so quickly is unusual.

I was thinking the same thing. Isn't Splash normally down in January?
