Splash pools in townhomes

For those who have rented the townhomes with the splash pools, do you find that it is small or its sufficient?

I saw one in the pictures and I could probably reach from one end to the other.

You'd need really long arms to reach from one end to the other.
The splash pools are 12 x 12 feet. Picture a room in you house with these measurements. We liked having the splash pool for cooling off and relaxing after a day in the parks. You don't have to pack up stuff to take to the main pool, you just step out your patio doors. Especially nice if you have kids that just want to splash around. Also not restricted by hours of operation, you can go in it whenever you want.

We went in May when it was very warm and paid for pool heat for the splash pool. It got very warm, almost like a hot tub, which was great for me. I don't think a bigger pool will get nearly as warm. The splash pool was fine for us, it was just my daughter and myself using it, and we weren't swimming laps. If you have a larger family it might seem a little small.

We stayed in a townhome with a splash pool in Windsor Palms a few years ago. We thought the pool was fine. None of us are major swimmers. We don't need to be able to do laps or anything. We just like going in to cool off, float around, do a little swimming... and the splash pools are perfect for that.

That said, if you look around, you may be able to get a 3-bedroom pool home for about the same price as a townhome and get a full size pool instead. Check out Lindfields development. Homes are a little older and you are a tiny bit farther away but not by a significant amount. We've rented there several times.

We are going in Oct....arriving 9th.....would you really need pool heat or will it still be warm enough? I don't really want to pay the extra $$$ for the heat but don't want to be uncomfortably cold either because we would mainly only use at night.
