What seems to be about the temp threshold for short lines/long lines on splash?

Warm and sun out = longer lines

Cooler and / or after sunset = shorter lines

I think it depends on your home location and what you're use too.

The weather temperature doesn't make a difference for my group.
Being from the NW they swim at DLR in the middle of winter.

The only thing they don't like are wet shoes and socks. So they carry flip-flops in their backpacks for Splash Mt and GrizzlyRiverRun .

Night time always has shorter lines. Honestly... I HATE getting wet at night ..yes even in the summer when the temps are warmer... but unfortunately that is when the lines are shorter!!

We are from the NW too, so even being 70 outside is going to feel fantastic for me!

We love riding it at night because the lines are so much shorter, and we are native Californians.

For at least the first few hours of the day, the fast pass return time for Splash is usually not too far in the future. That's usually our strategy - we fast pass it during the first half of the day. This depends on what's going on with SM, Star Tours, and Indiana Jones fast passes, though.

We're from Utah. California weather will have us sweating. I haven't done splash at night but maybe we'll have to make it our nightcap now!

Riding at night can be alright. Ride it several times and then be done for the day and go back to the hotel. If you ride late enough when the line is practically non existent the CM may let you re-ride without getting out.

I remember when they didn't enforce FP times. Getting a few FP for Splash early in the day to be used later was part of our strategy. Now they enforce the times, which is good, but it messes up that strategy. Splash FP are usually not too difficult to get for midday at least.
