Splash Mt Closures??

We went back to MK around 6 tonight and the fast pass line was about 50 minutes I guess all the people who couldn't use their fp all day got in line when it opened. A CM there told me it didn't open until 4:30.

Space was closed quite a few times too today according to my wait time app.

We went back to Splash around 8:45 or 9 and used our FP from 11:30 that morning. We walked right on The standby line was only 40 minutes at that point.

50 minutes is NOTHING. Soarin and Mission Space always had Fastpass lines of 2-3 HOURS. And sometimes, they don't issue them at all for those two.

I've never experienced the FP lines at Soarin and MS to be longer than about 15 minutes. The regular lines at the same time could be in excess of 120 minutes for Soarin (MS - Green got to 40 minutes during our visits in April and August). Soarin runs out of FP's by early afternoon -- sometimes sooner. I wouldn't wait 2-3 hours for any ride -- regular line or FP.

Spash Mountain can close anytime thier is incliment weather in the area particularly lightening.

That was my first thought, too - "Splash closes when it rains...it rains a lot in August."

It's open right now. Says 21 minute wait. Fastpasses for 10:15.

(TSMM has a 33 minute wait with Fastpasses for 10:50. In case you care, lol.)

Splash Mountain is my favorite ride, and my personal record is riding it 7 times in one day!

Anyway, that said, last Wednesday the ride had some technical difficulties while I was on it. They had to stop it and evacuate us, so I got to see some of the backstage. I have to say, after riding Spalsh Mountain so many times, I was kind of glad it happened, because I got a totally different perspective of the ride.

According to the CM that helped us off the logs, the "computer was having issues", and it took about 4 hours for them to reopen the ride.
