Morning! I just booked my fast passes and pretty much got everything we wanted, except for SDD - not bad! Anyway, my kiddos are 4 and 7 and are really interested in Splash Mountain, but I'm afraid of it! I did book a FP, so now I have to be brave lol. I love BTMR, SDMT, Test Track - too chicken to try Everest and Space Mountain. Will I be okay with the drop on Splash Mountain??? I know it's personal, but I'm interested in any feedback :) Thanks!

Its not an intense drop, you'll be fine. Its a very fun and mild ride and one of my faves. :) Its similar to 7DMT, only thing is splash has a drop. Not a big one though.

Agree with above. Not a big deal at all. Took my daughter on it when she was 4 and she loved it too. You’ll be fine, go and enjoy!

It's a great ride for the kids. VERY colorful and the music is awesome. The drop is very quick. a couple blinks and its done. If you sit in the middle its hardly noticeable.

I’d say it’s about 5 seconds total. It’s a little intimidating at the top but you go over so quickly you barely have time to think about it.

I hate the drop on splash too - but it’s one of those rides where, as soon as you get past the drop, you’re so glad you did it and want to ride again.

So I hate drops but somehow did Jurassic park in universal, which apparently is much worse then splash. I think it’s about 25ft higher and it deff felt it

I did splash for the first time ever after years of fear and when the drop happened, I was like “ that’s it “?

I expected it to be horrible but I barely got the stomach drop feeling. I was laughing at how wet I got

You’ll love it. Just hold on when it drops and you’ll be great.

I don't ride Space or Everest, but Splash is one of my favorite rides. The drop doesn't bother me and I qet pretty motion sick easily.

Okay I'm feeling so much better, thanks everyone :) One last question - I'm a size 16 and my kiddos are quite small. The smallest will go with my husband, but the other one that's stuck with me...will she fall out?? lol

My wife absolutely hates roller coasters, but she LOVES Splash Mountain.

The only thing to worry about is the potential to get wet. In 2006 on our 1st trip my then 5 year old got splashed good at the end and looked at me and screamed "You got me face wet your fired daddy" I had to buy a her an incredibly ugly Haunted Mansion hat (that she still has at 18) to get my job back.

Going to be honest, the drop does give you the tummy toss feeling. But like everyone said, the drop is quick and towards the end of the ride so you should be fine!

As for falling out, the seats comfortably fit two adults. So one adult and one small child should fit well and your little one is not going to fall out! There are handles in front of your seat to hold onto if you get the feeling like you may fall out, but I don't think it has ever been an issue before!
