Do we need to "step down" to get in the car on SM? I can not recall. If the car is at platform level I will manage. I believe there is an entrance at platform level for Test Track, which would be great. Than you.

For me there are two steps down to get into SM log. The "arm rests" are at platform level. I step down on to the wet seat and then step down again to get to the floor of the log. I think the seat sits very low. The angle of my legs when seated makes me need someone to give me a hand to rise to standing.

Ok. Thank you very much. Think I will give it a miss then.

I was going to say that getting in is a little difficult but getting out is a bummer :sad2: but someone else has basically said the same thing. If you don't have a great deal of leg strength getting back out of the log on Splash Mtn is hard. But I also have trouble with Pirates and the boat ride in Mexico too for that same reason.

I cant do pirates, not tried Mexico for many years, so I guess that answers my question thanks.

This depends on if it is at WDW or DL. The last time I went on Splash Mountain at WDW, they had a transfer vehicle that the side opens up for on the back seat.

There is still a slight step down, but it is far less of a step down.

Disneyland doesn't have such a vehicle.

I believe Mexico has a wheelchair boat like Small World does, perhaps you can use one of the attraction chairs, if you don't have your own and ask for that boat? Just a thought.

Thank you. That is very interesting. I do have my own wheelchair, and it would be so great to do splash again. Is it hard to get out? Would hate them to have to get a crane to lift me out!!!! Yes its WDW.

I didn't know about Mexico boat so that's great news too. Was beginning to think I had wasted my money buying the Disney ticket. I am so excited now.

The info about the special boats excite me too, its too hard for my elderly mother to get in and out of the various boats so I feared we would have to stop doing them, which would be sad since they are some of her favorite attractions.

My favourites too. I am not so much old (well!!!) as have very limited mobility among other problems. Most of the rides I can not do, so the little boat rides would be great. Not heard of that particular feature on splash so that is great.
