How wet do you actually get on average? Not sitting in front or back, but average. My husband HATES wet shoes and socks, but my son and I want to ride. We will arrive to MK on a Saturday about 3:30, hair cut @ 4. I was then thinking of Jungle Cruise, Splash, BTMRR, the Riverboat and CP for supper at 7. Is it doable??

I've only been very, very wet a couple of times, usually from the water cannon on the uphill, which is not always on. But, a few times I have been quite wet from the Splash (not shoes and socks wet though).

There is always the chance of getting pretty wet. Maybe your husband could do something else for a bit?

Your overall schedule looks tight on time. Could do it, but it will be hard because FP may not be super helpful with that late a start. If Splash, BTMRR and Jungle Cruise are all 35+ minute waits, it'll be tight.

I was thinking the schedule would be tight. It will be early October, so maybe crowd will be low. Oh well, I will be at Disney, so I will go with the flow.

You can't seperate how wet you get from some other factors. Sit in row 1 and you'll be dripping at the bottom. Last row, hardly a drop, that is, from the drop. Anyone may get a soaking if the water cannon is operating, and this will happen before you even go up the first hill. Also, after the drop, as you head to the barn, there's a nasty little waterfall on the right side of the flume, right where you may get stopped in traffic. So, what to do? Sit in the rear, allow others to board first, tell the CM if you must, sit in the left seat, have something to deflect the watercannon or waterfall spray, and BTW, take a hand towel to wipe off the seat before you squat in the first place.

If there are alot of adults in the boat you can get pretty wet if you are in the front. In the back not so much.

My experience has been if I sit in the front, I miss the water. But I usually duck down, so that splash, at the big drop, comes over the front of the boat and will hit the people in the 2nd seat. I did this 4 times last trip and my friends finally caught on to my method of wanting to be in front each time! :rotfl2:

I have ridden tons of times and have yet to get more than a few drops of water. We usually go in September when the water canon is working, so I guess we must have just been lucky.:confused3 We sit wherever it happens to fall for us.

:thumbsup2 I usually choose the front too...hardly ever get more then sprinkled.

The back row may not get splashed but I ended up getting pretty wet anyhow. The ride before mine had the last row empty and when I was told to get into it the seat had a puddle in it. I had no choice but to sit and I was uncomfortable for pretty much the rest of the day. Maybe something about it riding empty allowed it to catch more water???

Anyhow, look before you enter the row is my advice. ;)

If your DH is worried about getting wet, just have him wear a poncho. We rode it on a cold night in December, and if we had not had the ponchos on, we would have been soaked. As it was, I had the front of my hair wet because my poncho slipped back a bit on the drop and, one soaked side of my upper leg because I didn't notice that my poncho wasn't covering my whole leg. I can't recall my feet ever really getting too wet on Splash. People might laugh at you as you get on it ponchos, but our experience was that they quit laughing when they get off soaked and cold and you are dry. The teenage boy who was laughing at us as we went through the line got off the ride completely soaked and then he pointed to us and turned to his Mom and said "We should have had those on too". It was all we could do not to bust out laughing.

As far as whether you can fit it in, it really depends on how crowded the park is that day and even whether the fast pass times have a quick return. We've been there on a day when the lines for Splash and BTMR were only 10 minutes each, and you could fit your whole list in on a day like that. We've also been there when the lines for each of those are an hour, which would make it pretty much impossible. The Riverboat is about a 20 minute ride.

Thanks everyone!! He is determined not to ride. Hopefully it won't be too crowded and we can fit it all in. :)

I've never gotten wet unless I sat in the front row. Now a lot of people have mentioned the cannons, yes I have been soaked from the cannons from all rows, however they repositioned them after the last refurb and you can't be soaked by them anymore. So it's a non factor.

Could he possibly bring along some sandals or flip flops just for the ride ? That way he won't have to walk around in wet shoes and socks.

I also wanted to say, and I mean this in the most respectful way, that it probably will be busy. Saturdays are always busy at MK, especially in Oct. They only offer Wishes and and Main Street Electrical Parade a few times a week because of the halloween party, so instead of spreading out those crowds over the course of a week, it is more concentrated to 3-4 days. In fact, Josh on easywdw.com had a post on the difference between a Sat at the MK and a Sun. The difference in wait times was pretty big.

Please understand I am not saying this to be snarky or to rain on your parade; It is just a lot of people go in Oct thinking it will have low crowds and that isn't always the case.

Not that wet at all. A little wet, dry in 5 minutes at worst case. Kali on the other hand, shoes filled with water. It's horrible.

To be the driest people on the ride,
. . . sit on the Right side of the vehicle (Left side gets wetter)
. . . sit in the 1st row (and duck down at bottom of log flume drop)
. . . sit in the last three rows

I am not a big fan of being excessively wet. On Splash it seems like it is the watercannon that always gets me more so than the drop(s). The big drop will get my face and hair a bit wet. No big deal. I do dislike the water cannons though

:lmao: Rusty, you are such a character! :p

Seems like no matter where I sit I end up splashed enthusiastically. So I wear my poncho and ignore to hecklers when I board. And smile at the soaked riders when I get off nice and dry.
