Splash Mountain - early December

Hi everyone ~ hoping to get some help/figure something out. We'll be in Disney the first week of December. I know during the hotter months, the water level for Splash Mtn is higher so you get pretty wet or soaked. I wanted to see if anyone knows if they lower the level of the water in December so you don't get "that" wet? I have a FP for early afternoon and don't want to walk around soaking wet after riding it so wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this or might know?? Thanks in advance!!

Buy a $1 poncho at home and wear it on the ride if it is cold. They do tend to turn the cannons off when it is cold, but we have been hammered at the waterfall in December.

Good idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that!! lol Thank you ~ I'm definitely going to get them and could get use out of them for Splash Mtn and KRR in AK!!! I LOVE the attractions but walking around soaking wet the rest of the day isn't too fun!!!

It really seems like they do. Honestly, Splash at MK is not that bad anyway. I always dry out pretty fast and you really don't get that wet unless you get somehow unlucky. Splash at Disneyland is another story. If you're REALLY concerned, a cheap poncho will give you full insurance like the PP said.

I have been completely soaked in December. It is mostly from above - your feet are pretty safe, but anything thigh and up is a risk. You could get lucky....but I'm not lucky when it comes to splash rides.

We got drenched last time we rode it, but that was in the summer. Our butts were wet before we even got started because the seat was wet, so you might want to wear a poncho for that alone if it's going to bother you.
