Splash Mountain Closure - Open Sooner???

My DS, DD and DSIL will be in the Magic from 3/14-3/21. Unfortunately I've read that one of our favorites - Splash Mountain - is closed until 3/21. Does anyone know if this is a "hard" date or is there a possibility of it opening earlier? Hoping against hope!!!

I would love to know this as well. I tried to find something official on the WDW site and couldn't even find anything saying it old reopen 3/22. We are also coming. 3/14-3/22.

I asked this question when I called Disney last year when one of the rides the kids wanted was listed as closed until the week after we would be there...the person on the phone said it was a slim to no chance of being open before the stated date...we too will be there again this year the same time as this closure. Will have the older kids sad about Splash Mtn being closed this year.

I'm doubtful, but we're keeping our fingers crossed it will magically open on Friday the 21st so we can ride it too. We leave the 22nd as well.

last year it opened exactly on the day they said, which was the last day of our week.

this year we miss it by 1 day.

There is always next year. No worries.

We are also staying through 3/22. I was able to book FP+ for Splash Mountain for 3/22 two days ago. I'd been checking every day and it hadn't been an option until now. Maybe check and see if it is an option for 3/21 or earlier??

Last year we were there the day BEFORE it was said to open back up. We kept walking by to see if they would open. They would run the logs and there were CMs standing at the ride.. but sadly they never did open. We are going back this June and can't wait to ride!
