Splash Mountain am vs.pm

Did splash at 9:10am and 7:00pm yesterday. Totally soaked in the morning and at multiple spots, then barely even a drop in the pm.

Is this normal? Is there water loss during the day.

Funny cause the wife hates getting wet but came on in the am, refused to come on the pm.

I think its just chance when you get wet. Depends on where your log is when one comes down the chute. I usually sit in back when ride to not get so wet. Then I got clobbered by a log coming down the chute in a back seat. Oh well. lol

They can adjust water levels, and do so when its cooler out. I know the weather has been up and down in Orlando, not sure how it was yesterday, but perhaps they adjusted during the day if it was cooler out.

I agree with PP also that it depends where you sit.

Not only adjusting the water levels - but some of the "splashes" that can get you wet aren't really splashes - they're effects that can be modified or turned on/off depending on weather.

I know a lot of people don't ride Splash because of the water but the unknown of getting soaked, damp or dry is so fun. Nothing brings strangers together quicker than avoiding water splashes!

I think a lot also depends on how many people you have in the log, the distribution of where they sit and total weight.
I think I have been dry and soaked in each seat at different times.

Side note; first time I rode Disneyland after world I was SOAKED lol Disneyland’s version is insane
