Last few trips I haven't been able to get over to Splash for a lot of reasons...however, in Oct last year my son tried to ride it and could not ride comfortable because of the lap bar that was put in a year or 2 ago...It hits hit straight on his knee cap, and also wouldn't let him straighten out his leg.

I had a knee replacement, and it didn't go well, so I am worndering if there is a special seat that doesn't have this bar? I won't be able to have it touching my knee...there are several rides I just can't ride anymore, and I am hoping this isn't another one. I do have a GAC-not sure it would make getting a seat without the bar any easier or if they even have a barless seat.

We both have the same leg length, I have long legs, he is a bit short legged...

Thanks for any info!

sorry they put it in for safety and to stop guest from standing up on the ride so all the cars have it.

That was kinda what I thought. I know that there is/was supost to be a(another) revamp of the ride.
Thanks for the info....gonna miss this ride. But I also have seen people get up and that is not good for anyone! I wish they had different logs, but at least I know what to expect. And not everyone can fit/ride on all the rides.

yeah was their once and they kept stopping and started asking people not to stand up so they can keep the ride running. i don't understand why people like standing up on rides they do it on tta so waiting for them to install seat belts. i guess they put the bars to keep people from standing up or they would of put seat belts. maybe they will come up with a better way then the bars or at least a way for you to ride it safely and not be in pain.

You might still try it, but sit in the front seats. These have more leg room than the other rows. Riding here might allow you to straighten you leg easier and keep the bar off of the knee.
