How strict are the height requirements? My 6 yr old son is below 48" but his 8 yr old brother is 52". I learned about the 48" and under policy after booking and I'm trying to anticipate whether they will be able to play together in the Splash area?

I dont think it will be a problem. We stayed there a few weeks ago, and the pool area is great. We have stayed at CBR twice and have had great experiences.

We were there last summer, and found that they were strict about the 48" requirement. My kids were not allowed to play in the splash area, and CMs were checking height if there was any doubt.

It depends on the Cms who are working. Some days they would allow my son inside to play and other times they would come through and clean everyone out who looked too tall.

As long as they are not bothering people and looking out for the little kids they older ones are usually left alone. When they all go crazy and start taking over the CMs get visited by the parents and a sweep out is done.

When we stayed there in April they were super strict. I for one was appreciative. It is meant for young children. Not to be snarky but I wouldn't think most 6 year olds and certainly not an 8 year old would be interested. The small slides are similar in size to a back yard slide with water.the 2 slides at the main pool are very appropriate for your aged children and the pool is themed very well.

Thanks for all the responses. My 8 yr old is autistic so his interests aren't always age-typical :) Also, I am a single parent so the 3 of us have to stick together. I know the splash area is fenced in but I'm guessing that my 6 yr old won't want to go in there without one of us with him, so hopefully the pool will have shallow areas for him. And I do understand the safety reasons behind the rule for the splash area--makes total sense!

The pool has a very large zero entry area and another area that was shallow with steps. You could ask the lifeguards for an exception and if there are not a lot of littles in there they might allow it.

It will likely depend on how busy the pool area is. In March, my 50" tall 7-yr-old had a grand old time in the splash area one morning, but there were very few people in the whole pool area and only 1 other child in the splash area.

Thanks for the additional info and the suggestions. My boys are so excited to visit CBR--we chose it over the other mods because of the pool. With the zero entry we should be fine, and there is time before our trip to take my younger son to local water parks and help him become more comfortable in the pool areas (as opposed to the splash areas). And as long as we all can hang out together in the pool area I think my older son will be fine too. Can't wait!
