We are leaving tomorrow, and have ADR's for Spirit of Aloha on Thursday. The Orlando forecast is calling for rain that day. So what do they do if it rains? Do they immediately refund our money? Help us make same day dining arrangements, or is it simply "sorry show is cancelled, and your tickets will be refunded sometime later, after you get home, good luck on finding some place to eat"

Years ago when we did the show, it was pouring out that night. The show is still held. Most of the performance area and all of the eating areas are under shelter. They had to modify the performance a bit since the open area couldn't be used, but I don't think we missed much. They still had all the dances and fire baton guy.

They won't cancel just for rain, as the area is covered (although it has no walls). They will only cancel if the weather is so severe that it would be dangerous to continue the show. Or if it is too cold.

It will take time for the refund to show up on your statement, but yes, they will issue a refund.

They won't help you make new dining arrangements. You're on your own for that. Maybe go into the resort and see the lobby concierge who can find you some place to go.

We saw the show last June, and it rained every single day of our trip. You have to decide if you want to cancel your ADR before the deadline for a refund. We decided to go ahead and see the show in the rain/drizzle. The show was held on a covered stage and the seating/eating area was covered. You could tell that if it hadn't been raining, the performers would have utilized a much larger performing space. Disney even gave us all ponchos (cheap) to wear on the walk to the pavilion.

All in all, I thought the show was fine in the rain. I do think that it would have been much better on a clear night :)

If Disney cancels the show, you will get a refund, no matter when they cancel it. It just might take awhile to show up on your card statement.

If YOU make the decision that you don't want to watch it in the rain, then you have to cancel it before Disney's cancellation deadline - you won't get a refund at all if you miss the deadline.
