Hi. we were thinking of attending the luau in December. My kids are all adult price (There are six of us all together.) Is this new show
geared more for the younger set? My youngest will be 13 at the time. I was also wondering about the weather in December. From what I read on these post December nights can get pretty cold. Will we be freezing? Any input will be greatly appreciated.

We went once and enjoyed it,that said we would not go again.I would go if I were you and at least do it once. You may really love it or think I wish I hadn't spent the bucks for it.The food was good and well prepared just not great. The entertainment in our opinion was great and thats what made it worth the dollars to us not the food.Sorry if this post is not the answers you are looking for I do hope it will help a little and others will give you more opinions to base your decision on.Have a great trip!!!:sunny:

My husband and i just returned from WDW three weeks ago! We really enjoyed the Show and the food was delicious especially the rice! After the show we were talking abot it and we came the the conclusion that they do their best to appeal to young children but we would not bring our young children when we return(When we have some!) I think the age of your youngest would enjoy the show i just would not bring elementary age or younger i think they would loose interest after a while. But I say go and enjoy!!!!

The show is worth doing once, the food certainly is not worth $50+.
The weather in Dec is hit or miss. You could get a cool night where you'd be comfortable in a jacket, other nights can be very cold, to cold to enjoy any meal.

Maybe you can wait until you get there or just before you go to see what the weather is going to be like before you make the reservation. I don't know how tough the reservations are to get, we haven't done the Luau in 7 or 8 years.

Anybody know the cancellation policy??? Maybe make the reservation now and if the weather starts to look like it's going to be a problem you can cancel.

There is a 48-hour cancellation policy for the Luau. You reserve via credit card but they don't charge your card until you get your tickets (either upon check-in or at the show itself).
