We reserved the 5:15 seating for November 11th, but could only get Category 3 seating. Will we still be able to see the whole show easily? Or will our view be blocked? Are we allowed to request upper level or lower level at the podium or will there already be a seating chart? I would assume upper level would be better than lower level?

For that time of year, cat three seating is the best!! I was in the back with a great view (pole supporting roof in front of us but really was not obstructive of our view of the show). Not sure if cat three gives you an upper vs lower, we were in the back, under cover, in the stage left area. Seemed to me my table had been assigned before I got there so if your location is critically important to you in your enjoyment of the show, why not check with someone at the Poly a day or two before the show and see if they will give you an idea of where you are sitting.

I've been twice and had reserved Category 2 but we got seated both times in the front. The front is the best, IMO. Possibly center in second level would be a better level to see above everyone and see the whole show. I'm not sure about Category 3 but if you are the front table then you should have a great view.

Hoe do you know what category you are assigned? When I made my ADR's 180 days out no one advise which cat I was in.:confused3

When I reserved, I asked if we could get category 1 or category 2 seating. The cm explained to me, which I didn't know, that for category 1 seating, you had to pay for it. Category 2 & 3 can be reserved for 1 TS credit. She said she had no more category 2 seating left and only had category 3, so I had to take category 3.

I don't think there is a BAD seat in the house because the tables are arrranged almost in semi-circle fashion with upper and lower sections. The food is pretty good and the endless cold beer is even better after being in the parks all day! No matter where you sit, you will have a pretty good view of the show.

See we had Cat. 2 seating and it was okay but I could see how the tables behind us in Cat. 3 seating could be upset. Honestly we just went to the Luau were very disappointed in it. The show was cute but the food was not good. We are not picky eaters at all and we had to grab something from the food court later it was that bad. I would try either HDDR or the MBYBBQ first.

Its for 2TS credits. Not one. All dinner shows regradless of the Cat. seating at 2TS credits.

OOPS! You are absolutely correct. It is 2 TS credits. Don't know why I posted 1, I knew it was 2! But, you are saying all categories? The cm told us we could not use TS credits for category 1 and could only pay for those seats. Should I call back?

My mother has her heart set on going to this Luau. It's the only thing she wanted on the whole trip, so I can't change it. If it's a buffet, I'm hoping we will find something we like.
