I booked the Spirit of Aloha luau today and was booking Category 2 seats but the agent said that category 3 is actually better because it's right behind category 1 while category 2 seats are to the side. Do you agree or disagree?

Did the agent have category 2 seats available to sell :rotfl: Sorry, couldn't resist! We have never been but are going in August, we booked cat 2 seats & from looking at the seating charts it appears cat. 2 is behind cat. 1 in the middle. But to the sides cat. 2 & 3 are both behind cat. 1, although cat. 3 is the outermost side. But I would disagree with your agent because it looks like MOST of the cat. 3 is behind cat. 2 except for those 2 outermost sides.

Whatever you choose, I would imagine you are going to be able to see the show and have a nice time.

A little OT, but the fantamsic dining package seats are off to the side. However, we always prefer this section for the convenience of not having to line up 60-120 minutes in advance, plus we feel it offers an easier exit.

But back to the topic of the luau, if being front & center is not important to you (which it isn't to us) then being in either cat 2 or 3 would probably make you happy & you'll save a few bucks. Have a great time!

Thank you - the seating chart helped quite a bit and I changed my reservation to category 2 seats.

When we booked all that was available were catagory 3 seats. We had the last seats all the way back. The good thing about the seats was that we could stand up to see what was going on and didn't get in anyone's way. I wouldn't book category 3 again--it was too far back.

when we ate there we had seats near the front, not sure of the category, we were on the ddp. It was hard enough to see b/c they sit you so close to everyone. There were seats that are very far back. I wouldnt book it unless you get near the front. The ribs were good. The waitress brough me pepsi and i politely asked her for chocolate milk, she literally argued with me saying that i didnt say chocolate milk. Even my DH said yes, she said chocolate milk. She did bring me some, i just dont get why she had to get defensive. There isnt entertainment the whole time, they play the stereo often, lol. We didnt stay the whole time b/c i was sick. The good thing is that tip is included. Hope you enjoy it! It's a far walk to find it btw, so leave time for getting there!
