We've flown Spirit many times, even as late as of two weeks ago. We've always had good service with them. We fly out of Atlantic City.

Seating in "Plus" is towards the front of the plane, much like First Class, with wider leather seats, about five rows with two seats on each side of the aisle.

I have also used Spirit out of AC and we are using them tomorrow great rates and easy access out of AC. The last time we used them when we got to the gate they offer us an upgrade for $35 a ticket for the Plus so you may want to try that. We are going to try again to see if it can be done.

They have a great rate for anyone that that needs flights for the August cruise from La. NY/La-Orlando/NY $209.60 PP RT

We flew Spirit Plus rountrip Detroit to Fort Myers over New Year's weekend. Spirit Plus seats were VERY comfortable. Nice big leather seats with lots of leg room. We loved it. Of course, you are two across rather than three. It is a very comfortable way to travel and we're doing it again in May.

I was able to upgrade once on a flight from Las Vegas to Detroit for $40. Best $40 I ever spent!

I'll have to remember that for our next Spirit flight. That extra $40.00 was not bad at all, since those seats look so comfortable.

They in general are ok. The cannot run the San Juan to ORD (Chicago) on time ever!!! I have flown that leg 4 or 5 times and it is always delayed!!! Sunday night we flew home and left 4 HOURS late.

Love the Plus seating. Worth the $40!!

Thanks for the recommendation. How is the room in regular coach? Leg and kneeroom in a 767 on Northwest was very tight last week.

Not a fan of Spirit. They have some serious legroom issues on their planes ... I'm 5'11", and I usually don't have problems on any mainline jet (Regional jets are another story), but I have NEVER been comfortable on a Spirit plane, even in an exit row.

Also had a pretty miserable experience claiming luggage in Detroit on Spirit one time. Plane landed at about 3:45pm ... the first bags didn't start appearing on the carousel until around 6pm. There were some very frustrated people, but there wasn't a Spirit employee to be found anywhere in Detroit Metro Airport.

they are very thin on cust service! My brothers luggage ended up in Atlantic City on sunday even though it was tagged for ORD! Then they yelled at him 2 days later when they delivered it because the office was closed, the evening before even though we told them the delivery addy was a business and to call first!

We flew Spirit, for the first time, in November. We were very happy with them, especially flying out of Atlantic City...so much nicer than Philly!

We will be flying with them, again, for our upcoming trip in December.
