Spirit Airlines can't use Resort Airline Check-in?

I'm traveling for the first time without a parent and I'm little confused. I got my Magical Express package in the mail a couple days ago and it says "If you are flying domestically on one of the participating airlines listed below you are automatically enrolled in this service when you arrive through Disney's Magical Express" and then it names all the flights and then it says, "If your flight eligible, your boarding pass will be delivered to your room the morning of your departure. Otherwise, you may pick-up your boarding pass at the Resort Airline Check-In Desk no less than 3 hours prior to your flight." I'm on Spirit...does that mean I pick up my boarding pass at the resort or the airport? The only difference is it doesn't get sent to my room?

I think as of this time, Spirit is not a participating airline. The participating airlines are Airtran, Alaska, American, Delta, Jetblue, Southwest, United, and US Airways. I actually don't know myself as far as the boarding pass. We have flown only Jetblue and Southwest there (Participating airlines) and we got our boarding passes/checking in for the flight by physically going to the desk, not having it delivered.

You may not check your luggage at the resort check in. You will not get a boarding pass. Generally the front desk will print one for you if you go ask them which I would suggest.

Spirit would have to pay to join the resort check in program. They aren't going to do this.

You will carry your luggage on the bus and check it at the airport.

The concierge desk will print them for you, or you can get them at the airport. If you plan to "buy" amenities at the airport (like baggage space, etc), then you would likely need to do this at the airport.

Please note that I believe Spirit charges for each and every boarding pass printed at the airport (both Kisok and ticket agent). Ask Disney to print your boarding pass before heading to the airport.

The only way I have ever received my boarding pass at my resort, was when I was flying on a participating airline, and used RAC. I have not had my boarding pass issued in any other way. I have heard of some folks, usually flying SW, that got their boarding passes delivered to their rooms the day of departure. But that hasn't been my experience.

Spirit is NOT a participating airline. Doubt they will ever be participating. I would plan on just heading to the DME bus area, bags in hand, and going to the airport and getting your boarding pass issued there. Better safe than sorry. Perhaps you can get the boarding pass issued at your resort, but in all reality, you have to check your bags at the airport, so why go to the trouble of trying to get a boarding pass early??? Just do it when you check your bags.

Yep, they do. Personally I would make sure and check in at the earliest possible time, at the resort or wherever you are. That way if there's a problem you know about it sooner rather than later. That's a good idea with all airlines but especially those with minimal customer service built into pricing model such as Spirit.

Spirit isn't scheduled to start charging for airport kiosk printed BP until October 31, 2012. The $2.00 charge is necessary to cover the cost of the paper and ink used.

OrangeCountyCommuter already made the point. Spirit Airlines could use RAC. Spirit passengers can't use RAC because Spirit Airlines isn't willing to pay and/or provide whatever support Disney requires of participating airlines.I suspect the only way Spirit Airlines would participate with RAC is if Disney decided to pay a fee to Spirit. In other words a cold day in hell

Yes, but as all the other posters clearly stated, Spirit does not participate, so they cannot do so.

Southwest is a participating airline, which is why you received your boarding pass.
