Spirit Air?

Has anyone ever flown Spirit Air? I was just looking on the website and if I join the $9.00 fare club I can get return flights for all five of us for $490.00 It seems like a pretty good deal. I would just have to convince hubby to fly because he's determined to drive.

Well, starting in the fall, they are charging $45 per carryon that will not fit unde the seat- so yes they are charging to use the overhead bins

I have flown Spirit once only. It was a good experience.
Just be sure to consider in your pricing the fact that you will also have to pay for carry ons!!! That can really add up and make a difference when comparison shopping.

I have flown Spirit a few times and they were great!

They are only charging for luggage carry ons - not your personal purse/computer etc.

I am glad they are starting to charge - now maybe people will check there luggage and when it is time to board they can got on the plane and take a seat instead of trying to find overhead bin space.

We have flown them before and they were good - we are flying them again in September to Las Vegas.
