Spirit air. Do they ever do baggage refunds?

My mom booked her flight and accidentally booked 1 carry-on for her flight TO Disney and 1 checked bag for her way back. She realized her mistake afterward and paid (more) for a checked bag TO Disney. Now there's just a carry-on hanging out for her departure flight and she wants to cancel it. Is this possible?

You might call and see what they can do for her. Although be prepared to be on hold for a while. I did this last month with Allegiant Air. I originally booked us all with carry-on and them my mom and sisters convinced me they would rather do all checked. I called and got it switched without any problem other than I was on hold for a little over an hour before they got on the line to help me. I suspect Spirit will be similar in response time.

Our situation was a little different though, because I did the switch on the phone and needed to pay a little more (the difference between checked and carry-on) and I hadn't already added the checked bags.

I hope they'll take care of it under the circumstances.
