Spinoff--what did you put in Easter baskets this year?

First year doing 2 baskets, one for DD12 and one for DD 6 months. DD12 basket had 4 tsum tsum (she collects them), summer pjs, Google play gift card, reese's peanut butter eggs. She also enjoys doing an egg hunt. The eggs had jelly beans, robins eggs inside and the special golden egg had a Disney pin. DD 6 month basket had a teether toy, rattle, play TV remote, plastic elephant plate and bowl, minnie mouse bibs, and minnie mouse onesie.
:lovestruc Love, love, love Robin Eggs - they're my favorite Easter treat. I bought a bag about a month ago and demolished them but haven't been able to find any since. I wish I had some right now! I guess I'll settle for one of DH's Reese eggs but they're a poor second choice.

My kids (18 and 15) each have a bucket with candy--some of their favorites and some of what we found when we shopped for baskets at 10:00 last night. They each got a tshirt that they picked out, although DS18's won't be here until later this week because he didn't send me the link until yesterday.

All 4 of us will have at basket at MILs later, and who knows what will be in those. There will be candy for all, and she does gifts too, usually gift cards for the kids, sometimes clothes or something they told her they wanted, sometimes money (for the kids, not us), and sometimes a note that she wants to take them shopping.

Kids are at the ages of no more hunts.
Both kids in braces each got: 2 Reese’s Eggs, 3 Chocolate covered Marshmallow Eggs, 1 small Hallowed Chocolate Bunny, Small pack of Jelly Belly Spring Mix, 4 Yellow Peeps, 4 Chocolate covered Marshmallow Bunnies, & a pack of Mini Cadbury Eggs.

Then:
Oldest 15: $20 PS4 card
Youngest 13: A Choker necklace & Stuffed Rainbow Bunny.

Sounds like we have some similarities. I also have a 16 year old son on the spectrum (he's an Aspie) and a daughter with ADHD.

Lol, don't know why it didn't quote, the above was for Terry McC

I just wanted to add that Ticket to Ride is an awesome game! We are board game people and this is one of our favorites.

DH, and one of my best friends all play Ticket to Ride on our phones. DH and I were at a local bar once and someone said something crappy to us about not paying attention to each other. We were actively playing the game together and talking trash. I consider that quality time:)

For the baskets...let's just say that the kids were well taken care of. 3 outfits each, new shoes, a big new stuffed animal each, workbooks, coloring books, candy, art supply holders, and then a bunch of small things like tattoos and hairbows. It was probably too much.

And that doesn't include their haul from my parents or MIL.

DD19 - 3 bottles of nail polish, swimsuit, flipflops, t-shirt, a book, some candy (Peeps, a Dove chocolate bunny, & some chocolates shaped like carrots), &, for fun, a bottle of spray chalk & 2 bubble wand things

DS17 - new razors, shave gel, & a mirror for the shower, swimsuit, flipflops, t-shirt, a book, some candy (Peeps, a Dove chocolate bunny, & some chocolates shaped like carrots), &, for fun, a bottle of spray chalk & 2 bubble wand things

DS9 - 3 stuffed bunnies (he LOVES animals & has a collection), swimsuit, flipflops, t-shirt, a book, some candy (Peeps, a Dove chocolate bunny, & some chocolates shaped like carrots), &, for fun, a bottle of spray chalk & 2 bubble wand things

Each year, I do something different for their "basket." In the past, I've done beach bags, swim bags, duffle bags, storage cubes, etc. This year, their "baskets" were really nice, lined laundry baskets for their bedrooms.

From DH's mom, DD & older DS received some money & small box of candy, & younger DS received some money & a little plastic Easter basket filled w/ different Easter candies.

From my parents, they each received a ball cap, a shirt, a stuffed bunny (even older DS), & some candy

My parents got DH & me some Cadbury eggs, some kind of Easter oreo cookies, an Easter kitchen towel, & 2 rabbit figurines

My 2 each got a chocolate-scented bunny plush, a cereal bowl with built-in straw, a light up Orbeez ball, a book, bath slime, scented bubbles, a boxing monkey candy/toy, cotton candy, sweet tarts, slim jims, nerds rope, chocolate wonderball, gummies, and small snack mix bags. DD8 also got bubble tape, Robin eggs, and mermaid sequin slap bracelets. DS3 also got a Pluto fan, character gummies, and bath bombs. Oh and my mom threw in some edible grass since I refuse to buy or deal with the regular fake grass.

Also had an egg hunt with 50 eggs filled with bunny and cupcake gummies, choc eggs and coins, cotton candy flavored hard candy, and some real coins... And a couple tsum tsums that I apparently put in eggs last year and forgot to give to the kids as I found them mixed in with the other empty eggs.

I mentioned a week or two ago that I had no idea if DD8 believed in the Easter Bunny since we've never really talked about him or acknowledged where the baskets and eggs come from (we've never taken credit or given credit to the bunny). Well, this morning, she was all excited to see what the Easter bunny left her and where he hid the eggs, so we rolled with it.

My daughter is 19 and no basket this year but got her a Nintendo switch and a game for it and a 50.00 Disney gift card since she is going there in July.

Small gift card and some candy each.
Past the egg hunt age.
I don’t believe in big gifts for Easter. More focused on the Christian message of the day.
That’s the way it was growing up too.
I was on my 20s when I realized people got gifts at Easter. We only got a chocolate bunny and maybe on rare years a small stuffed animal.

Both kids got a bunch of candy and snacks and a small lego bag set. The big kid (almost 16:car:) got a psn gift card and a card game called "What the Fish." The little kid (9) got a Dog Man book (which he actually sat down and read!!!!!!!!) and a ukulele.

DD#1- Cholocate bunny, a Disney "A Twisted Tale..." book, plenty of misc mini chocolate candy, a Fall Out bobble head and socks, and nail polish
DD#2- Cholocate bunny, a Disney "A Twisted Tale..." book, plenty of misc mini chocolate candy, a Swiss Army knife [she is difficult to shop for so we stopped there as she gave no hints to the EB]
DS#1- Cholocate bunny, "Where's the Wookie" book, plenty of misc mini chocolate candy, a multi tool, and Pokemon cards
DS#2- Cholocate bunny, "Where's Waldo" book, plenty of misc mini chocolate candy, a a multi tool, and Pokemon cards

DS is 1.5. He got 2 baskets. One from hubby and I and one from Grandma and Grandpa.

Our basket:
1. A box set of books
2. Peter Rabbit
3. Rainboots
4. A wooden toy (it's gorgeous and I bought it - he doesn't seem to care, of course )

Grand's basket:
1. Plush Elmo
2. Bubbles
3. Parachute
4. Water Wow books
5. Easter book

DD - 15, candy, cashews, and a $25 gift card to Walgreen's so she can buy make-up/nail polish

A little bit of candy for my husband and I.

I actually couldn't decide whether or not to do Easter baskets this year since it's not really a big holiday for us. I ended up going to Walgreen's Easter morning before they woke up to get the stuff. I put DD's stuff in a gift box I had at home. I couldn't bring myself to spend money on actual baskets that would just get tossed.

My girls all got candy—jelly beans, a bag of foil covered chocolate eggs, a small box of 4 Cadbury eggs, a $10 Starbucks card and a $3 scratch off lottery ticket. The two that aren’t vegetarian also got fruit gummies. They contain gelatin so oldest DD won’t eat them. I also got the same lottery tickets for me and DH. Two of our DD’s each won $3 and DH and youngest DD had losers, but I won $30 on mine. I’m putting it in the Disney fund for our trip later this year.

Easter baskets have always been smallish here -- mostly candy. Occasionally a small gift, but never anything that's too big to fit into the basket.

This year, each kid got candy: A chocolate bunny, chocolate eggs, and jelly beans. DD asked for Easter-wrapped Rolos, so I got those for her. And I got DS some sour gummy candy, because he likes that kind of stuff.

This year, the non-candy treat was a little more expensive than we normally spend. DS is a senior and recently made his college choice. When we were on campus for an admitted student visit, he saw a jacket he really liked... but he hadn't 100% made up his mind yet about which school he was planning to attend, so we didn't buy it. Now that he's chosen, I ordered the jacket online through the university's bookstore. It's more than we'd normally put in an Easter basket, but he didn't have any "spirit wear" for his new school and I wanted him to have it. I got DD a t-shirt from the school and a new pair of shorts (not school related) to wear with it and she seemed happy with hers, too.

My 3.5-year-old got spoiled again this year. It's just too easy to buy little things that make him so happy. He got a lot of Paw Patrol items - a book "Pups Save the Bunnies," a ball, stickers in an egg, temporary tattoos, stamp set, and an egg container of candy bones. Also, SpongeBob SquarePants bubble bath and gummy Krabby Patties, a small bag of Jelly Belly ice cream cone jelly beans, a small bag of Yum Earth gummy worms, 2 Kinder Joy eggs, a little container of building gears, a little container of plastic superheroes (along the lines of "green army men"), a cookies-and-crème "chocolate" bunny, a Monster Jam Grave Digger vehicle, a 5-pack of Batman Hot Wheels cars, and a Hot Wheels motorcycle. Not to mention the 20-25 plastic eggs that he hunted in the yard, all filled with M&Ms, chocolate bunnies, and Kit-Kats... ;)
