Spinoff of First Car and/or Airline Threads

The first time I flew was in 2004. I was 28 and we went to WDW with our kids. We flew Delta on DH's ff miles. In 2007, DH & I flew to WDW again for our 10th anniversary on Delta with the last of his ff miles. It was a horrible flight all the way around. We drove 3 hours to the airport in light snow, the flight was delayed a couple hours for weather, and the terminal was full of middle school dance teams. Lucky for us, they were going to WDW on our flight (seriously, they took up at least half the plane, but they were fine). Once we got a little further south, it was storming like crazy and there was so much turbulence. It was awful. The FA had to get in their seats, the plane was bouncing all over the place, the middle school dancers were scared and upset, I got sick, it was just bad. Coming home a few days later, we go back to the airport and find a large group of....middle school dance team. On our flight again. We got on the plane in the first group, and they stopped boarding because there was a problem with the engine. We sat on the plane for a half hour or so, and then they unloaded us. It was in the evening, and we weren't going anywhere until the next day. Since we were on the plane and 85% of the other passengers were not, we were among the last to get to the counter to get our complimentary hotel room--there were none left. Whatever, DH had already booked something for us, we just paid for it. We got up to the counter, were almost rebooked for the next day, and they announced that there was another plane and we could go that night. Uh, heck no. We had already canceled our hotel room in Cincinnati, and the person on the phone said they had several people waiting for cancellations because the roads were shut down due to a snowstorm. No way was I flying back to be stuck at the airport. The next day, we show up at the airport, and find.....the dancers. It was funny by then. Flight home was uneventful, although we had to dig our car out of the parking lot at the airport without a scraper. I haven't flown since and don't care to.
