Spinoff.. Do your kids

When they don't get their way, probably. The rest of the time, probably not.

I don't have kids, so I'll answer from the kid's perspective

95% of the time, I did not (and do not) consider my mother difficult. Things were rough for awhile when I was 15, mostly because I've never been able to care what other people think of me the way she'd like me too, but she's a wonderful mother who always wanted to raise an independent daughter, even when that independence drove her nuts.

I'm sure she does. She's almost 16 and I don't do well when she gives me attitude. Granted, it's very little and rarely happens but I am quick to respond when it does. She storms off, we both cool off and ten minutes later were back to watching tv on the couch.

The 13 year old absolutely. Probably 89% of the time.

The 10 year old? 90% of the time he thinks I hung the moon. 10% of the time he is being reamed for some stupid boy stunt he's pulled.

Of course. I am that mean homeschooling mom who actually make my kids DO their work. They also have to feed the cat, play outside, clean their room, and not sit in front of the tv 24/7 playing Super Mario Bros. My 5 year old told me at least 3 times this week he didn't like me. Don't care.

The realization that I have turned into My mother is not lost on me. :lmao:

16 year olds and their attitudes. It makes my eye twitch just thinking about it.

Most of the time no, but as my daughter gets older and is now basically a tween she thinks I'm difficult if I so much as mention that she needs to brush her hair. The horror!

Definitely depends on who you ask around here!

My oldest is 15 and he's super chill, laid back and a lot like me in terms of personality, so he'd probably tell you that I'm cool about 95% of the time.

My 13 year old is either rolling his eyes, sighing heavily or telling me that whatever I was about to say is stupid - before I even say it. So, I'm probably "difficult" about 90% of the time in his eyes.

My 10 year old DD is full of attitude, but too young to have hit the nasty teenage years yet, so she likes me about 75% of the time. The other 25% of the time, we are at odds over her attitude.

So....I guess I'm kinda difficult?

My dog likes me all the time! Does that count for anything?:D

Mine's grown now but he thought me more embarrassing than difficult. I don't know what's embarrassing about dancing in store or yelling during a wrestling match or fussing at his friends when they were at our house.

I just asked my kids.

According to my 18 year old son: I am not difficult, but his father is. (They butt heads a fair bit.)

According to my 20 year old daughter: Neither of us are difficult.

According to me: My mother is incredibly difficult. I'm passively avoiding her right now.

And my mother-in-law is didn't used to be difficult, but is currently. It's not her fault, she's incredibly sweet and awesome, but also terminally ill. Dying sucks.

 I'm sorry about your mother-in-law. We went through that with mine last fall.
