DH and I started dating in high school when I was 16 and he was 17. As far as meeting goes, well, that's a story in itself, lol.
A year before we started dating my math class had to use a different class room. On the desk where I sat was written, "I love <with my name here>" with no name as to who wrote it. So I wrote back, "Who are you?". The next time I was in the room was after school for extra help in math. I sat back at that same desk and saw the reply, "Me." I didn't think about it much after that.
Ok, fast forward a year later. DH and I have started hanging out (not sure if I would call it dating yet). We were walking the hallway and we passed by that classroom. I don't know how we got on the conversation about that room, but we did. During that conversation, we both found out that we were writing back and forth to each other! We were both completely surprised. I asked him why he didn't write his name. He told me that he didn't want to be teased about it, so he didn't. I told him that was the same reason why I didn't put my name to it. See, back then, I was teased and bullied from 1st grade through 12th (Dh was so different than anyone else and never teased me). So I was afraid of writing my name.
In addition to what happened to us then, DH also told me the conversation he had with his mom when we were little and on the bus together. IIRC, it was when I was in kindergarten and he was in 1st grade. When he got home one day he told his mom that there was "this cute little blonde hair girl on the bus and I'm going to marry her some day!" Of course his mom (as all moms do with this age) thought it a cute little crush.
It turns out that the little blonde hair girl was me and he did marry me. We dated for 12 years and were engaged for 6 of those years before we were finally able to get married. We've been married for 14 years in September and have been together since high school for 27 years in a few weeks

We knew we were made for each other.
When we were wed, I was 28 and he was 29.
