spin off: outrageous behavior at your workplace

Mine is kind of boring compared to some of you, but: A few years ago, I didn't work out of a office but out on the property, but stil had to go to the office to clock in,etc. Next to our office was the laundry facility. All of the sudden, I am about to check out for lunch, there are 2 guys coming out of the laundry fighting.

Since I am the closest to the office, my boss is yelling for me to call 911. So by this time, the fight has gone past the office I am in, but I still close the door and lock it. I hear things crashing people screaming "he's gonna kill him." Even the 911 operator can here all this, this office was very cheaply made.

OMG! as I am on the phone, the fighting comes back near the office and one guy is slamming another guy into the window of the office. and I can see all this, my butt ducks under the desk, I am not going to get caught in the mix if the door fails.

Finally, one guy flees the scene and the other is up but not a pretty sight. All over a female. both guys fired and both arrested-the guy who fled didn't get far. an expensive copy machine broken, the window to the dispatch office-actual cheap glass all broken.

In my case, I'm a teacher and though I would like to say we don't have outrageous behavior in the schools, sadly, that is not to be.

The most outrageous thing I have personally experienced is being cornered in a very small copier room (closet sized) by the wife of the headmaster at the school. The school board was suspicious of her husband's behavior, and that day, several school board members had come to the school and talked to all the teachers about this man's behavior. She cornered me because she wanted to know what I said to the board and what the other teachers thought. I was just floored  Her behavior was very out of the ordinary for what I knew of the woman. She wouldn't let me out of the little room, and I was honestly getting afraid. Luckily, another teacher showed up to make copies and she stormed out.

A few weeks later, the man was basically forced to resign because the school board found proof he was stealing money from the school.

There are tons here but my personal favorite:

One of the employees came to work with a fighting rooster strapped to his back. He worked second shift and hadn't had time to go home after the fight so he thought it was a good idea to tie it down under his shirt and just come on into work.

Blood was seeping through his shirt and dripping from where this rooster was clawing his back. I guess he didn't think anyone would notice the blood, the moving hump, etc. :confused3

OK, this is the winner.

I had been at the company less then a year. I had several people below me in my department. At that year's Christmas party, one of my employees got plastered. Like couldn't stand up plastered. I drove her home. First she couldn't tell me where she lived (I knew the town but not the address). Then she pukes all over my 3 month old car. It still had new car smell. It was the first new car I ever had. She pukes a few more times and I am finally able to get her address out of her.

Ok, no, none of these can beat Pakey, but...
A favorite pasttime at the restaurant I work at is paying people to eat gross things. The guys in the kitchen like to pay the servers to eat jalapenos. A server was also paid to eat a spoon full of cinnamon. He started gagging and heaving. Then he spewed all this cinnamon. It looked like he was breathing fire. Of course, this was uploaded to Youtube. Let me assure you, though, this was in a lull between shifts and took place in a banquet room. AND everyone washed their hands thoroughly after this stunt. :)
The actual clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbDajkSsh_U
Let me also add, this particular guy is an awesome young man. Fought for our country as a Marine! :)

Well - my work has someone that likes to shoot at our office windows at night. It is always lovely to come into work to shattered glass and bullets stuck in the wall.

In my case, I'm a teacher and though I would like to say we don't have outrageous behavior in the schools, sadly, that is not to be.

Ain't that the truth? I'm not a teacher but I work in a school office and I've seen some :scared1: from both parents and teachers. A couple that I recall (with parents, I'd be afraid someone I work with might post here and recognize their story LOL)

We had a parent who had lost custody of her child come in and ask to see him. I knew we couldn't do that but this woman is supposedly both stark raving mad and violent. She was clearly high on something. She was wearing overalls and she had one arm down the front to them. I was sitting there thinking "Oh no, she has a gun. When I tell her she can't see her kid she is going to shoot me." I sort of leaned back and said to the other woman in the office "What are we gonna do? Do you see her hand down her overalls?" And the other woman, with total sincerity, says "Yes. Do you think....she's playing with herself?" If I hadn't been scared snotless I would've turned around and said "Seriously?" :headache: Thankfully, one of the custodial guardians turned up and handled the situation but........oh me.

The other was that a woman (that I really don't know except through her coming in to the office.) Called to tell me that she was at the doctor's and wouldn't be able to come get her child that afternoon. She wanted to know if I could just drop the kid by the doctor's on my way home. Oh, sure - let me just open the door for liability here. Did I mention this is one of the custodial guardians of the child mentioned above :rolleyes1

ETA I forgot a good one. Right out of high school I went to work for what was basically some kind of scam company but I didn't know it at the time. Anyway, my boss would fly clients in to bilk them out of their money and one of my jobs was to go pick them up at our rinky dink little county airport. I had the "nicest" car and he thought that would impress them LOL So, I go pick up this one guy and he asks if I have time to drive him around to look at some of our "historic landmarks". Sure, whatever. We go see what he is dying to see. Then he asks me "Do you have a still?" Apparently, he thought everyone in a rural area would be distilling "shine" and perhaps I'd give him a bottle of mine. ROFL
