DH smoked a pork butt last night and there is a TON of meat! We plan on making pulled pork with most of it. What is the best way to freeze this so that it doesn't go bad? What can we do with it besides just pulled pork sandwiches?

I try to make sure there is some liquid in with it, double bag it (usually a couple of quart bags of meat inside a gallon bag), and then make sure you get as much air out as possible. The plastic storage containers can be good for meat because they leave less surface area for air to get to it, but they take up room.

As for using it, I am cooking a shoulder in the crockpot this week and we use it for chili, tacos, enchiladas, burritos, or nachos.

We use it for the same foods as the PP, but we also make bbq pizza. Use bbq sauce instead of pizza sauce--add the pork, onions, cheese and pineapple. We love it!
