Year: 1991
Venue: Catholic Church for the Mass and banquet hall for the reception. Choice of beef or chicken. I don't think we had any vegetarians. Open bar. Sit down meal. Live band. Garter and bouquet thing. Mother/son and father/daughter dance done. Cocktail hour before the reception
Pre-Events: 1 bridal shower. 1 Jack and Jill party. Bachelor party where they ate, drank and plays cards. No weekend thing. No stripper.
Post-Events: None
Attire: me a pretty classic white wedding gown with veil. I didn't wear a veil over my face walking in which caused my DMIL some consternation. No reason other than I don't like stuff covering my face. Men wore black tuxes. Girls wore teal colored dresses which were reasonably price for the early 90s. I told them they could wear black shoes whatever they had that was comfy but they all decided they wanted dyed to match teal shoes. It was OK by me. I was trying to save them some $ by not making them get dyed shoes.
I was almost 30 and am generally laid back so I don't think i was a bridezilla about anything. I had friends in my bridal party who would have slapped me upside the head if I went bridezilla.
