I have already tried a steam mop and that didn't cut the sticky feeling. Then I used a hardwood cleaner and it's still a bit sticky.
Any suggestions?
It's a real hardwood floor.
Thanks for any help!

is it not the floor and maybe you have some sticky residue on your feet/shoes?

I usually just sop it up, wash with hot water, rinse and repeat a few times--rinsing out the cloth thoroughly each time. Are you talking about a small area or the whole floor? If it's just a small area, there is the possibility that it splashed and you're stepping on that also.

One of my DH's friends spilled a bit of Coke on our hardwoods... ammonia-free Windex cleaned it right up! :thumbsup2

My steam mop always worked for the floor. I bet you have it on the bottom of your shoes/slippers/feet or something like that.
