Spiderman?

Does anyone know anything current about Spiderman, or even Spiderman merchandise, in the DL parks?

We are going in September and my oldest ds is a huge Spiderman fan. He loves most Marvel heroes, but Spiderman has always been number one.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Spider man is SONY pictures. So it may not be a part of Disney yet. However I will caution you by saying I haven't been to Disneyland yet, so I don't know if he's there or not.

Side note: X-Men is Marvel too, but the rights are owned by Twentieth Century FOX. Hope this helps.

I don't think Spiderman himself is in the parks but you might have some luck finding merchandise. The Disney Store website has both Ultimate Spiderman and The Amazing Spiderman merchandise. I've put the links below. Plus, I've seen pictures of a plush Mickey dressed as Spiderman (and other Marvel characters) so there's possibly other stuff too!

There is Spiderman merchandise available. They have Spiderman Mickey Ears.

Sony doesn't own Spiderman. They own the movie rights. Disney can sell whatever merchandise for any Marvel character they want.

Making it more complex is that Universal Parks owns the rights to the characters IN THEME PARKS east of the Mississippi and Japan. Universal owns the US rights in perpetuity, so no Marvel at WDW unless a large dump truck of cash appears. So they can get Marvel at Disneyland, DLP, DLHK but not DL Tokyo or WDW.

They may be able to have Spiderman stuff in DL, but they haven't yet. Great article here:
