Just got back from a business trip to LA. Stopped by Universal and I have to say, Transformers felt like Spiderman with robots, right down to the drop off a roof at the end. It's a fun ride but in terms of storyline, ride and villains, Spiderman has the edge. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Transformer movies, I just think Spiderman is the superior ride with better effects using the same basic design.

And this is why I strongly think the expansion at the Studios is NOT Transformers...dispite what some people think. Universal would not have the same basic attraction in both parks.

That opinion is pretty much what everyone else who has ridden both has said.Same ride, different theme/overlay. I also agree with Metro , I seriously DOUBT the Universal /JAWS demoliition was for Transformers

Nuff said. Spider-Man is one of the best rides in the world and I highly doubt Micheal Bay and his Cars could defeat your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

The Transformers ride is amazing! Believe it or not, the ride has two levels! During one of the first sequences (the third, IIRC), some cars will be raise on a lift to the upper level while others continue on the base level. The transition is so smooth you never feel it. You have to actually look at the right time to see that you're being raised. The "fall" is of course when the two tracks rejoin.

Also, the Transformers ride cars are the exact same as Spider-Man cars, just with a different paint job. The queue is also very interactive (lots of switches to flip and buttons to press).
