Hiya all,

Can someone explain to me what Spiderman is like??
I am a coaster wimp (Disney's BTMRR is my limit), but love the simulators (except Star tours and the one at Seaworld which makes me puke) Do you think I would be ok on Spiderman??? How about kids??? They have seen the films and love non loop coasters - they haven't done any sim rides yet.....

I just don't "get" what spidey is like from the ride reviews.....

Thanks
Tessa

quit worrying and try it. if you dont like it , you dont like it. but nothing we say or you see will do it justice. you have heard about it, now buck up and ride it.

My motion sickness is so bad I can't ride Star Tours and do the non-motion part of the SW ride you speak of and I was ill after the wuss version of mission space. I avoid simulators at all costs.

However, when I first went to Universal, I knew I just had to go on it- it would make me ill for the day, but would be worth it. I did and it was fab! I now ride it every trip and always make sure it is the last thing I do in a day (as it does still make me ill).

To me, the motion is more like Dinosaur (because it is not a static simulator) and is not coaster-like in the slightest. The kids will love it and you need to try it as it is too good a ride to miss.

I'm a ride chicken and can't do the simulator rides. I did do Spiderman and loved it! There are parts where I close my eyes (the down parts) and I'm fine when I get off the ride.

Thanks all -

Lisa, thanks for a reply from a fellow motion sickness sufferer!!!

We will give it a go!

My DH gets motion sickness, but Spiderman does not bother him in the least. I agree with someone else who compared Spidey to Dinosaur. The ride track is somewhat similar, but Spiderman has extras that you won't see in any other theme park attraction.

star tours makes me much more upset stomach wise then Spidey. Spidey i way better as well. I noticed that sometime I felt less quessy then other time and I think it had with doing Dr.Doom ride before or after Spidey. I know that sounds crazy, and I can't remember if it was before or after.

I hate coasters and get sick on motion sick rides - I didn't think spiderman was too bad as far as making me sick - and I thought the ride was awesome! My 7 year old niuece went on it twice and loved it - but I wouldn't bring my 4 year on it. (some 4 year old's might be fine - mine is more into it's a small world and merry go rounds )

Star Wars and Back to the Future both made me sick. But I have no problem on Spiderman.

Normally, it does not make me ill. But, did feel woozy once after riding the Hulk 4 times in a row after breakfast. :rolleyes1
