Spiderman for a 3 yr old?

DS (almost 3) is currently nuts over Spiderman. He is only 36 inches tall so he wont be able to go on the ride. Is there anything he can do involving Spiderman? Is there a place where we can meet Spiderman?

Spider-Man hangs out across the street in the Marvel Alterniverse store. On the map insert, you will find the times when Spidey is there. Plus Spidey is part of the Marvel Superheroes parade that happens several times per day. You'll have plenty of opportunities to meet him.

You will definitely be able to meet him. My son is 3, but he is 40 inches tall and was able to ride. Get him really thick soled shoes.....

My DS will be so excited to meet Spiderman! Are they really strick on the height requirement for this ride? He might grow a little bit between now and Jan but probably not 3 inches.

In all honesty, it depends on the operator. Make sure he wears sneakers, and wears a hat or brush his hair spikey....

All height requirements are strictly enforced. I've sean many people try and "cheat" but it doesn't work.

When we went on Spiderman last April my little guy was 3yo and barely tall enough IF he stoof very tall. The first time through they didn't even measure him. He liked the ride until he had the falling sensation, and then wanted nothing more to do with it. We brought him another time or two and he did ok, but they measured on the other times and almost didn't let him on. He was able to get on other rides that had a 40" restriction, but he could have been refused and I would have understood.

Is your son 36" tall with or without shoes?

and he is 36 1/2 inches without shoes. Even with his shoes on his is probably still 2 inches too short.

How tall was your son when he went on the ride?

My guy was 38 1/2" barefoot for our last trip and was 40" (barely) with shoes, so your son probably won't make it unless he has a serious growing spurt. Feed the kid! lol

We're planning on going again this April and I'm hoping that my son will be 42" tall so he can go on Men in Black and the Popeye raft ride. He's now 40" without shoes so he should grow the 1/2-1" in 4 months. I'm hoping at least!

I dont think we will even try to get him on unless he has a huge growth spurt in the next month. I dont think there is any good way to explain to a 35 month old that he isnt tall enough to go on the ride. He would be in tears. Especially since his cousin will be able to ride. It will be a much more enjoyable trip if he doesnt know that there is a Spiderman ride. The same goes for MIB. He would love that one too.

My son just turned 4 before out last trip (in October). He is a huge Spidey fan also. He was tall enough to go on the ride and hated it. It was too scary for him, and he didn't like being tossed around so abruptly. I had never been on the ride so I was a little nervous the first time our car took a sharp turn. I reached across my DD7 and grabbed a hold of my DS. I knew my husband was not paying any attention to him and I was nervous that he may fly right out of the car since he barely made the height requirement - I am an overly neurotic mother

He loved meeting Spiderman and getting his picture with him. Spiderman asked him if he rode his ride and he told him he did. But when I ask him which ride he hated at Universal, he answers "Spiderman".

I think the ride is a little rough for a 4 year old, so don't feel bad that he's not tall enough. Meeting the 'real' Spiderman is all your son will need to make him very happy.
