But Tobasco is only 2,500-5,000 SHU, so even twice that still isn't very "spicy." The spicyness of sambal depends on the type of chili used to make it, and what else it contains. But from what I can find, sambal generally is not spicy compared to say eating a habanero or some specialty hot sauces (Dave's Insanity Sauce, for instance, has been rated at 180,000 SHU <--- Dave's is what my family uses to make wings (but just a few drops).Than you didn't get the *true* Sambal. You need to make a special request. If you get the right stuff I promise that NOBODY would call it weak. It's about twice the heat of drinking Tabasco the way we order it. It would choke a bull.
